Duncan Ross - Senior Planner
Duncan has a wide range of experience in both New Zealand and overseas, and he is involved frequently in managing large multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful, integrated outcomes.
Duncan has significant planning experience, including attendance and representation at public hearings, evidence preparation, Environment Court mediation and the preparation of expert Joint Witness Statements,. In addition Duncan has a wide network of professional contacts within the development industry. Duncan is relied upon by many developers and professionals to provide expert and pragmatic advice, and seeks to incorporate best practice win-win outcomes for his clients and projects.
Nick Mattison - Senior Planner
Nick has developed extensive experience in town planning and resource management. He has a background in local government and private consultancy. Nick has specialised in large format and complex developments inclusive of apartment towers, master planned subdivisions, electronic billboards and infrastructure establishment.
Nick has a development focus which has been built on understanding development feasibility and maximising yield. Projects have been managed from inception through to completion with core specialists relied on where required and managed accordingly. By taking a holistic development approach Nick has achieved solutions for projects which are not often contemplated by District Plans but are suitable for green field or urban environments.
Sam Blackbourn - Senior Engineer
Sam runs the engineering team at Civix and has a wide range of experience in three waters management and earthworks design, including infrastructure design and construction, modelling, asset management, design guidance and planning with a strong focus on Water Sensitive Urban Design.
Sam was co-author of Auckland Councils' Water Sensitive Design for Stormwater (March 2015), with this document still relied upon by Council experts and those in the private sector. Sam is a Chartered Civil Engineer with strong technical skills, which are applied to numerous private sector projects with positive results.
Alexander Tait - Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
Alexander has extensive experience in surveying for Land Development and Infrastructure projects and leads Civix’s surveying team. He is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor and his team provides accurate, prompt service from the initial project invesgitations (Topographic Survey) all the way through to submission of completion documentation with council (223 and LINZ applications).
Kris Fordham - Senior Environmental Scientist
Kris is a senior scientist with significant experience in science and engineering managing and working on flooding, water quantity and water quality management projects.
Kris has extensive experience working in council and he leads many of our projects for the public sector. His experience includes, the project management of Auckland Councils regional Safeswim upgrade and the regional Watercourse Assessment program.
